LATEST SALE...

This sweet sweater is one of my latest sales...I haven't had time to add them all...and will try harder to get more listed...This sweater was a simple crochet piece...
I cut the hem and added it to the collar to add just a little something...
Next the hem is full of lovely vintage pieces of this and that...and quiet lovely if I say so myself... PRAIRIE SWEATER 5

This is a pair of pantaloons that made it to New Jersey just as the hurricane came through...
These cute pantaloons started out as a pair of cotton pants that had a wide elastic and s draw string...I cut the waist band off so that the crotch would be higher and the waist would be lower...I cut the legs off and added that material as the new pockets. I ran a strip through the hem to create a drawstring to the pockets that matched the waist...

The pant hem is full of bits and pieces of crochet, lace, old curtain and bed skirt...she is as prairie as you can get...

This lovely blouse is on its way to England...It was a simple sleeveless shirt...that needed just a little tweaking...

I cut rectangles out of the front and back...then added patches from a vintage cotton tablecloth....

The hem is full of very pretty vintage doilies and tattered fabric...

The simple shirt with just a touch of tweaking has turned into beautiful blouse that can be worn to work..to the park or even on a night out with pair of tight jeans and hills...

LATEST SALE...

I created this lovely vest hoodie for a special client...
I started with a simple linen vest that needed just a little tweaking...
I first added the hoodie...which was a vintage tea towel with a touch of embroidery...
next I added the full hem with lots of vintage doilies, lace from curtains, tattered fabric, crochet lace and ribbon...I then tea dyed whole piece...last... there was a dummy pocket flap...I pinked it off...I added different old buttons along with satin ribbon as a tie off using the mother of pearl buttons that came all the way from England...to dress it up...

As usual I leave raw edges and cut hems off center to add to each piece I create...
...no two pieces will ever be alike...

I recently sold this whole outfit...The blouse, the belt and the skirt......It turned out beautiful and is wonderful in person...

The blouse was the bottom part of a cotton night gown, the belt is full of tattered rags and is quiet lovely.
The skirt started out as a cotton tablecloth and the trim is a crochet table runner...very nice.

This was a very ugly vest...The only thing going for it is that it is linen...I took off the awful button and stitched it close to the edge. I cut the neckline and added a lovely cotton trim.
The hem is full of bits and pieces of vintage...and the back is one whole doily...
