PRAIRIE WRAPS!

I have been asked to create a wrap in my Prairie style.

Here is a finished piece.

I used everything but the kitchen sink bits of lace, doilies and even curtain to create this lovely.

Each one will be a one of a kind.

45 inches to 60 inches and the price will range from $85.00 to $125.00.

If you wish to have your very own and always one of a kind

BUSY...BUSY...BUSY.....

FINELY A DREAM COMES TRUE....MY VERY OWN SHOP.                       WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE......

Stop by my little boutique..PRAIRIE CHILD DESIGN

It's right off I-65 back behind the Cracker Barrel @
1221 Kelli Dr. #A
Athens, AL

I have been in the process of setting up shop keeping. I found the most wonderful little log cabin and it is in a fantastic location.

I am just starting to get things somewhat organized, SO THERE WILL BE MORE TO COME!!!

Everything in the front area will be my up-cycled work.. Remember to reuse...recycle and re-purpose.....ALWAYS!!!!

I really want it to have that old 20's to 30's feel. With just a touch of, 'rolled hard and put up wet', look...if you can imagine that....lol

THE COUNTER..I plan to wrap all my sold clothing...in paper.......            like they use to do back in the day.

This is going to be a little seating area. I put news paper and old photos on this corner of the shop..to give it that touch of desperation in a brothel fashion.

I mentioned the front area....
There is a back room as well and I will have consignment there.

My plan is to have all things 'woman'.
ALL handmade items...such as purses/totes with a vintage look, that special jewelry, wonderful smelling soaps, soy candles that can be used as a lotion,etc...etc...

There is a third room......
I will have my sewing studio at the shop as well. On certain days I will be sewing only and on other days ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!!!!!

LATEST CREATIONS....

I recently finished this lovely custom jumper and the client loved it.

She provided the embroidery place mats. They were lovely...I almost hated to cut them up....She tried it on and fell in love....

This lovely crochet over blouse was a first for me. I used all vintage pieces to create this beautiful top. It is for sale and can be found on my Etsy page.........SOLD

I created this 1920's style shift with a dress and curtain panel. It has a nice flow when you twirl. It can be found on my Etsy page......SOLD

I have been collecting vintage crochet pieces with green for a while and I finely found a dress that would go with the green. It had a second layer so when I cut the hem of the dress to create the blouse I left the
under layer longer to give the new blouse much more umph....lol The neckline, sleeves and waist all have elastic and are very expandable.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED....EMAIL ME....

LATEST SALE...

TOW-SAK #2

This beautiful tote is totally up-cycled... an old sheet, lace, cotton doilies, strips of tattered fabric and lots of this and that as well as a few tid bits were all used to create this lovely whimsical bag...

I recently sold this whole outfit...The blouse, the belt and the skirt......It turned out beautiful and is wonderful in person...

The blouse was the bottom part of a cotton night gown, the belt is full of tattered rags and is quiet lovely.
The skirt started out as a cotton tablecloth and the trim is a crochet table runner...very nice.

This was a very ugly vest...The only thing going for it is that it is linen...I took off the awful button and stitched it close to the edge. I cut the neckline and added a lovely cotton trim.
The hem is full of bits and pieces of vintage...and the back is one whole doily...
